Picture Book Review: Little Ronnie and Magic the Horse by Peter Shaw

This is 2 year old Hazel Nutt’s review of Little Ronnie and Magic the Horse by Peter Shaw.

Little Ronnie and Magic the Horse has three of my favourite things: a magic rocking horse, a fairy tale castle and a cute dragon.  Also Ronnie reminds me of Mike the Knight, which I religiously watch on CBeebies every morning.

My only criticism is that it didn’t have a princess in it, but I can easily imagine myself as a princess on my own magic rocking horse.

My parents had the cheek to tell me that my rocking horse wasn’t magic, but what would they know?  It’s MY rocking horse – they are too big to sit on it and see the magic for themselves!

Overall, I like the pictures, story, rhythm and rhyme of this story and how it sounds when Mummy or Daddy read it to me.  Its definitely one of those books I’ll get them to read to me almost every night.

This book is available from Amazon:

This looks pretty cute. We have been reading a lot of books about dragons lately, so I will see if we can find this one.
